Old Married Life

So things lately have been crazy! Kel and I literally have both been working so much we went four days where the only time we saw each other was when one of us was sleeping. It has been crazy! However I am so proud of both of us for keeping our heads and working as hard as we are, because it definitely will "pay off" in the end. The thing i am most proud of is the fact that we both have learned when enough is enough. For example we were both very depressed after 4 days without any communication except texts and waking each other up to say we are home, so last night i didn't pick up an extra shift and we had a date! Then today we actually spend QUALITY time together, and tomorrow we are both off coincidentally! I am so excited by the thought of a whole day with Kel to catch up (wedding thank yous, Christmas Shopping, wrapping gifts, Christmas Cards, and napping are all on our to do list)! I feel like such an old married couple typing this, but it's the most exciting thing to me!

Also, as everyone knows i had interviews this week and last at a place for a job i really want (and it's full time with benefits!). Well the interviews went GREAT! It's weird though because the organization is currently restructuring to add a few managerial positions, and while they want to hire me on in a regular position, its 120 days after i start working on my own (after training and everything) before i can be transferred or promoted within. So what they really want to do is have me interview for the managerial positions that are being developed and have me start there so they only have to wait a 30 days instead of 90. It kinda sucks because nothing is definite yet and i would LOVE to start working as of last week. However right now i have 2 jobs and 2 weekly nanny positions plus babysitting and I am blessed and lucky to have so many! So keep praying that things go well with my dream job! Hopefully Tuesday i will know a little more.

Also i am working on getting promoted at my second job (the retail one). They are in need of a manager and after some training, etc. it might be me! That would be awesome because I'd have more control over my hours and the pay increase would be pretty cool. It's mostly just nice that all my hard work is finally paying off. I know i am not working where i want to be working (who is in this economy) but i am excited that my hard work finally is helping me grow.

My baby sister is turning 20... i feel SO OLD! It's so weird that we are all in our 20s on Sunday!

I am excited for next week, it's Secret Santa at work, Christmas Party with my friends and then my work Christmas Party!
